Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol is in Andalusia in South-eastern Spain, just east of Gibraltar.

It has a population of more than 400,000 people

This coast has become popular with tourists because of its warm climate and gorgeous beaches.

The average temperature in Malaga, the main city on the area around the Costa del Sol, during January is about 13 Celsius (55 F). During July it averages about 27 Celsius (80 F).

The Costa del Sol also has nice year round golf courses where you can play through cacti hedges.

You can easily visit this place by plane because both Malaga airport and Gibraltar airport are here. You can even take a boat to get here!

The best time to come here for a holiday is during the spring and autumn because the weather is warm and dry with about 350 days of sunshine each year.

The Costa del Sol contains towns like Marbella, Torremolinos and Fuengirola which all have nice beaches. You can even visit Gibraltar, which has some unique shopping! 

There are some nice cities close to the Costa del Sol which you might like to visit. These aren’t really touristic places, but will be worth your while if you like them cozy. Take Sevilla (Seville), Granada and Cordoba, for example.

The Costa del Sol is perfect if that’s what you’re looking for – a warm temperature with sun-kissed beaches!

The area of the coast is strech normally from Nerja in the east to Gibraltar in the west but normally it is knowen from the area of Malaga to Sotogrande
